Film and Video
Short Films – Shattered
I’ve been interested in Film-making since I was very young. I used shoot short stories with my brother and friends for fun, and really enjoyed storytelling and acting. In my apprenticeship as a Mediamatiker I got the opportunity to work on a few short films in school like Shattered. They were only amateur productions, but I learned a lot from them.
Shortfilms – Operation Clearwater
As I got more interested in Film-making, I experimented with creating a short film of my own with some friends. We worked together on the storytelling, preparation, filming, acting and editing. Finally the video landed on our YouTube channel, Parallax, which we created to publish our hobby creations.
YouTube – Gaming
I started gaming at a very young age and especially loved the Need For Speed and Fifa games. When I got into shooters I was immediately hooked and since then have been playing them with a passion. Around this time I also started following gaming YouTubers. I loved the combination of video creation and gaming. Inspired by my favorite creators, I started uploading gaming videos to various channels over the years, trying to juggle between editing and school. I never got many views or notoriety with my videos, but I loved the experience any way. A few months ago I decided to pursue my dream of working as a content creator in the gaming industry more seriously. I worked on branding my own personality, “MistaPeng” and am still developing it.
Photography and Graphic Design
Photography
My Dad introduced me to the world of photography a few years ago. I only began to love it however, after I discovered the potential creativity when editing my photos. I started imagining how I could edit a photo while taking it and using my inspiration at home to turn my imagination into reality.
Photoshop Editing
From the beginning of my apprenticeship as a Mediamatiker I have worked largely with Photoshop and have loved every minute of it. Really.
With time I’ve gotten quite good at turning my imagination into reality with drawing and photo manipulation. Whenever I get to work on a new Photoshop project, it’s a great time. I love seeing how far I can push my skills and creativity and hearing feedback from friends and family.
